Bunkers On The Air 2008
This took place on Friday 11th July and was a great success, despite the inclemment weather! We hope to plan another BOTA event again, but encourage others to activate the ROC Bunkers around the rest of the country and run the event for a whole weekend.
We activated 3 bunkers in Warwickshire :- Wolston, Meriden and this one at Bulkington. We had two way contacts between all 3 bunkers on both VHF & UHF. Strangely enough 6 metres was very dissapointing, but strangely enough, 4 metres was quite successful !
We even had a contact to Boston in Lincolnshire via GB3CF. ~ Well it is located in a ROC bunker !
