Coventry ARS, affiliated to the society since 1932, hosted G100RSGB from 28th to 30th October. Stations were operated from the G8GMU (Chair), G8SEQ (Secretary) & G4GEE (committee member) QTHs.

Activity was chiefly on 40 metres. G8GMU did operate on 2m for the society’s Monday night net. G8SEQ operated entirely on VHF throughout the Tuesday. RSGB’s VHF activity night enabled several contacts on the 4m band. G4GEE also operated on 17m and operators were surprised at the number of G stations who were worked.

A total of 335 contacts were made with 286 different call signs in 27 DXCC countries.

Other members who helped were Martin, G1ZSR (committee member); newly licensed member, John, M6UWK and SWL Paul Sewell.

M6UWK had his first ever contact under his new callsign with G100RSB and was operating G100RSGB on 6 Metres just a day later.
